CSA’s Words Out Spoken 2019 Conference

October 19, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

If you are a person who stutters of any age, family or friend of a person who stutters, a speech-language pathologist or student of speech-language pathology, you will find the Canadian Stuttering Association Words Out Spoken 2019 Conference to be a very worthwhile, educational and enjoyable day! We hope to put a spark! in your day, with many thrilling new additions to this year’s conference! Including David Stones, a mostly retired business executive, poet, performer, spoken word artist…..and life long stutterer! Check out our website at for more information about our exciting and accomplished keynote speaker this year!

Although CSA has been active for a long time now, it was in 2014 that the organization experienced a “re-launch” of the conference event. This makes our 2019 conference the 6th Anniversary Conference of the “new era” of CSA! This one-day event is a chance to learn about stuttering, interact with other people who stutter and speech-language pathologists, and attend workshops and seminars about stuttering. We are also proud to present the continuation of our Family Programs workshops for young adults and their parents! Registration for the conference includes lunch which serves as unstructured time to socialize in a comfortable environment where no one is surprised to hear stuttering.
Times have changed since 1991 when the CSA first began, and we are now more outspoken! With an emphasis on unscripted, and sparking conversations, we create safe and open social meeting spaces, and facilitate formal speeches and workshops. The conference is a special opportunity to meet others whose life is also affected by stuttering. More information is available on our website, and Early Bird Ticket Rates will be available for sale soon!
