Toronto Society of Architects – TSA Movie Night: THE DESTRUCTION OF MEMORY Screening
October 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm$6 - $8
The Toronto Society of Architects kicks off the TSA Movie Night series with a screening of Tim Slade’s THE DESTRUCTION OF MEMORY (2016, 1hr 21min) on Tuesday October 17th at 6:30PM.
Tickets can be purchased online and are $6 for TSA members and $8 for the general public.
From the TSA website:
“With the cold weather starting to set it, it’s the perfect time for a movie! Join us for the inaugural TSA Movie Nights – a new initiative for 2017! We have lined up two movies under the theme Living With Architecture. Both will be followed with an informal get-together for good fun and discussion! Based on the book by Robert Bevan, The Destruction of Memory tells the whole story – looking not just at the ongoing actions of Daesh (ISIS) and at other contemporary situations, but revealing the decisions of the past that allowed the issue to remain hidden in the shadows for so many years. Legislation and policy have played a role, but heroic individuals have fought back, risking and losing their lives to protect not just other human beings, but our cultural identity – to save the record of who we are.”
The TSA Movie Night series continues October 24th at 6:30PM with a screening of DOUBLE HAPPINESS.
